Idea: Soundpack Store & Companion App for tbd-16

Hi all,
I’m a groovebox user since 2017, really excited about tbd-16 and its open-source approach.
I’m considering building a soundpack / companion-app ecosystem for tbd-16, inspired by the idea of an in-app soundpack store (similar in spirit to what Ampify’s Groovebox app offers, though obviously a completely separate, original implementation), paired with a companion app for managing packs, presets, and syncing with the device over USB/WiFi.
Before I start, a few questions:

  1. Is something like this already planned or in progress by the team or another community member?
  2. Which layer would be the most stable to build against right now, the CTAG TBD DSP/plugin layer, or the tbd-16 firmware/hardware layer (encoders, OLED, app-switching via SD card)?
  3. Is there an existing spec or format for presets/samples I should reuse, or would a new pack format make sense?
  4. Any general guidance on where community-built apps should live (own repo, fork, PR into the main repo)?
    Happy to share more details on the concept if useful. Thanks for building something this open!

Hallo zusammen,
ich bin seit 2017 Groovebox-Nutzer und richtig begeistert von der tbd-16 und ihrem Open-Source-Ansatz.
Ich überlege, ein Soundpack- und Companion-App-Ökosystem für die tbd-16 zu bauen, inspiriert von der Idee eines In-App-Soundpack-Stores (konzeptionell ähnlich dem, was Ampifys Groovebox-App bietet, aber natürlich eine komplett eigenständige, originäre Umsetzung), kombiniert mit einer Companion-App zur Verwaltung von Packs, Presets und Sync mit dem Gerät über USB/WiFi.
Bevor ich loslege, ein paar Fragen:

  1. Ist sowas bereits vom Team oder anderen Community-Mitgliedern geplant oder in Arbeit?
  2. Welche Ebene wäre aktuell am stabilsten, um darauf aufzubauen, die CTAG-TBD-DSP- und Plugin-Ebene oder die tbd-16-Firmware- und Hardware-Ebene (Encoder, OLED, App-Switching per SD-Karte)?
  3. Gibt es bereits eine Spezifikation oder ein Format für Presets und Samples, das ich wiederverwenden sollte, oder würde ein neues Pack-Format Sinn ergeben?
  4. Gibt es allgemeine Hinweise dazu, wo Community-Apps am besten liegen sollten (eigenes Repo, Fork, PR ins Haupt-Repo)?
